A flower farm in Sullivan County, NY

Lovesome Farm is a queer-run flower farm nestled in the hills of Sullivan County. We grow sustainable, pollinator-friendly blooms, on our 8 acre property.

We sell fresh bouquets at local farmers markets and we design bespoke event florals.

About

👋🏻 Hi, I’m Madeleine, the founder of Lovesome Farm.

A little about me: I grew up in New York City, spending most of my life riding the subway, getting sandwiches at corner bodegas, and buying bouquets at the grocery store. I’m the proud dog mom to Zelda and Rudy who you can find on the farm with me at all times.

For years, I struggled to find my “thing.” Over and over I tried to figure out what brought me joy—autonomous joy that I could gift to myself. It was incredibly lonely not to have a practice for expression, for creating. I relied on others for joy, and that led me to a lot of disappointment and instability.

But during the pandemic, I fell in love with growing flowers. And I’ve never felt more connected or grateful. This practice has unlocked me. I can always return to the dirt, to growing. And that has brought me courage I’d never imagined. Brought me closer to myself.

Flowers give me the privilege to cultivate color and joy and beauty. To be enamored with the present. Thanks for letting me grow you joy.
